Moving and the like

So now the house is now packed up and clean with the main contents now resting in a storage unit, some of it somewhat precariously perched :) It has been a very busy and stressful time, moving a whole house takes ALOT more effort then moving a room or two (which is our previous experience).  We have been very blessed to have had the help we've had, without help from Beverly and David, Frank and Ruth, Mara and Andrew we would have had to spend significantly longer in Wellington, you people made a HUGE difference, thank you so much!!! I had been tempted to have a post saying "moving sucks, don't do it!" and ending it there, but decided that perhaps more info maybe good! We are up in Te Awamutu now, catching up with Karlyn's family and some friends.  We had a great 'leaving' potluck last night, which was lovely, we are blessed to have such awesome people to support us on our journey, particularly touching was the family who came down from Auckland to join with family and friends here in commissioning us.  It was awesome this morning to have church pray for us (after a wee interview), they also gave us a gift which was lovely.  So from here we're up to Nana's on Thursday for a couple of nights, then down to Christchurch to visit Jono's family and also attend a friend's wedding, before leaving nz on the 8th April.

Prayer thanks
For the help and support we've recieved.
That the move seemed to go fairly well.

Prayer requests
That we will tie up the loose ends for the trip efficiently.
That we will have some time to relax and recharge before leaving nz.
That our relationship will be strong and we'll grow closer together (we've been struggling to have much time together with all the business of shifting).
That we'll be spiritually strong.
That the audit will go well (I've sent in my portfolio, which they've received, waiting or it to be checked and then submitted to the auditors).

And so the big changes commence

Today is my (Karlyn's) first day of unemployment -eeeeeeek! I'm kinda looking forward to it, but also kinda scared.  Last time I was unemployed I almost drove myself batty in 1 and 1/2 months.  How much damage can I really do in less than 3 weeks here?? There's plenty to do, the thing that bothers me is all that time by myself, alone with my thoughts.  people can be such a pleasant distraction :)  Post packing up/moving out we're off to spend time with our respective families before heading out of NZ 8th April.

Prayer requests for those of you who are prayers:
  • That organising trip details would go well.
  • That packing up the house will go well.
  • That my audit will go well (for those of you who aren't aware I'm (Karlyn) being audited by the physio board - they pick some people at random - lucky me).  I guess the big concern for me is they'll find something wrong, or that I need more/better evidence for and I'll be out of the country - It'll be hard to do anything about it from overseas.
  • Good relationship with god/each other/enjoyment in the midst of it all
